DR FEELGOOD
SONGS THE FANS WANT THE
FEELGOODS TO COVER ON
THE NEXT ALBUM

THE COMPETITION IS CLOSED since 30th Sept.2001, Midnight (MEZ)

March 6, 2004: We finally have a WINNER !

It took far longer as anyone of us has expected, but given facts there simply was no winner to announce, until now.

Since the closing of the competition in Sept. 2001 the following Dr Feelgood albums have been released:
1.) Finely Tuned (UK CD Oct. 2002 - GRAND CD25)
2.) Wolfman Calling - The Blues Of Lee Brilleaux (UK CD May 2003 - GRAND CD28)
3.) Speeding Thru Europe (UK CD May 2003 - GRAND CD27)

Two compilation albums and a live album with Dr Feelgood ''Live Faves'' (one song only, ''Shake Your Moneymaker'', was never recorded by us before, but not listed in the 115 songs valid for the competition), but none of the songs suggested by you was used.
Strictly following the competition rules it would have been 'No winner, no prize', but why should we disappoint those who sent in their favourite cover song?! Another album with fresh recorded material will be released at some point anyway, so we agreed it is only fair to you to leave the prize draw open until we would play a song from the list. To have a winner for the 1st Prize package, even if it would take some time. We received not a single moan about this decision from the fans who took part in the competition, thanks folks!

In February 2004 at some gigs of the German tour we played one song from the list below. Although we have not recorded the song yet, we want to congratulate Ralf Deckert from Kirchzarten in Germany for winning the competition with his suggestion - ''EVIL'' from Howlin' Wolf. => His entry was No 32.
Thanks to Ralf for the interesting chat on the phone! The 1st Prize package plus some extras should be in his hands in a few days. (Read his comment down below.)

Many thanks to everyone who sent in his favourite song to get covered by Dr Feelgood, thanks a lot also for your patience with us for picking the winning track.

~ Dr Feelgood - Kevin, Phil, Robert, Steve & webmistress Gabi
.

P.S.: Should the next album of the Feelgoods include additional tracks from the ''suggested songs'' list, I will of course also send a goodies pack to those who sent in the entry/entries; like promised in the competition rules. ~ Gabi

Message from the Winner Ralf Deckert:

>> Hi guys, thanks for playing EVIL and making me the winner of the song competition - what a nice surprise!!! I received my fan - goodies yesterday (a big thank you to Gabi!!!) and what can I say: I've seen the band at least five times since the 80s, Dr. Feelgood has been and is THE top live event for me and I just can't wait to see and hear you again - especially curious about that Howlin' Wolf number now ;-)
Thanks again!
